More than $800,000 in grants distributed to community

Hamilton Community Foundation recently made 64 grants totalling $811,411 to charitable and non-profit organizations in Hamilton. The funding supports a wide variety of programming including access to nature, safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth, music education for seniors, clothing and baby essentials, and subsidized moving services for families escaping domestic violence.

Most of the funding came from The Edith H. Turner Foundation Fund[1] which supports evidence-based programs and services that help children/youth; families, adults and seniors in Hamilton who are experiencing marginalization, with a focus on stable homes and families, healthy bodies and minds and educational/learning support across ages.
